Former GWLA Board member Terry Deike (1943-2019) came up with the idea of our Kayak The Wall event, which has quickly become our most popular event.  Terry really wanted Wall Lake to have a family oriented non-motorized event, and his vision made this possible.

2017 was our first year and it was a tremendous success!  Thanks to all who participated.  2018 was even better and we are doing this again this year.

Thanks to Katie and Terry, our GWLA Kayak The Wall Event  began in 2017.  A new twist was added to the event...Kayak The Wall Poker Run in 2018 as a result of Terry's love of cards.  Unfortunately we lost Terry before the 2019 Run, however Katie and her team have carried on this much loved event in Terry's honor.

 Participants leave from their own docks and there will be refreshments at other docks along the way.​
